Giorgia Li Pira

Born in Catania in 1998, Giorgia Li Pira began the study of piano at the age of 9 at the Music-Oriented Middle School “Francesco Guglielmino” in Aci Catena, initially under the guidance of Maestro Lucio Stefano D’Agata and later with Maestros Cettina Fucile and Carmelita Cocuccio. At the age of 15, she was admitted to the pre-academic courses of the “Arcangelo Corelli” Conservatory in Messina, where she began her artistic and musical training under the guidance of Maestro Antonella Salpietro. She later continued her studies with other well-known figures in the Italian music scenario, including Maestro Elisa D’Auria and Maestro Mariella Milone. After being admitted to the Bachelor’s Degree program, she continued her studies with Maestro Dario Fichera, under whose valuable guidance she graduated in 2024 with the highest honours.

She is currently attending the second and final year of the Master’s Degree program at the same institution. From a young age, she has taken part in numerous national and international competitions, achieving considerable success. Among the most recent: First Prize (Overall Winner) at the National “Santa Cecilia” Competition in the city of Naso (ME); Third Prize at the International “Amigdala” Competition in Aci Bonaccorsi (CT); and Third Prize at the International “Valle dell’Etna” Competition organized by the Lions Club in Misterbianco (CT). She has performed both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles in several prestigious venues throughout Eastern Sicily, including the Sala Laudamo of the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina, the “Sala degli Specchi” in the city of Giarre, and the Palazzo Riggio in Aci Catena. She has attended numerous masterclasses with nationally and internationally renowned pianists, such as Jin Ju, Libor Novacek, Roberto Cappello, Dainius Kepezinskas, Giuseppe Andaloro, and Massimo Spada – the latter as part of the 2024 edition of the “Villa Pennisi in Musica” Festival, organized by the MAR Association
