Puwei Zheng

Puwei Zheng was born in 1999 in Rome, Italy. At the age of 16 he was admitted to the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, where he graduated with 110 cum laude and honourable mention. He later attended, for a period of advanced studies, the Jāzepa Vītola Latvijas Mūzikas Akadēmija in Riga. He carried out studies also with Masters such as Benedetto Lupo, Daniel Rivera, Cristiano Burato, Juris Žvikovs. In these years he resulted as first prize winner at international competitions such as the 10th International Piano Competition “Mozart” in Frascati, VI Tokyo International Melos Music Competition, XXIV Anemos Competition in Rome.

He performed as soloist at Teatro di Marcello, Mercati di Traiano, Rīgas Latviešu biedrības darbība in Riga, Sala Accademica of the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia, Sala San Damaso at the Palazzo della Cancelleria, Lielā zāle and LMT kamerzāle in the Jāzepa Vītola Latvijas Mūzikas Akadēmija in Riga, at the Museum of Centrale Montemartini, alla Sala Baldini in Rome, in the Austrian Embassy, Academia Belgica in Rome.
