Sebastiano Cristaldi
Born in Acireale, Italy, on 27 December 1989, Sebastiano Cristaldi is an Italianharpsichordist and pianist specializing in early keyboard repertoire and continuoperformance. He graduated in Harpsichord and Historical Keyboards from the“Arcangelo Corelli” Conservatory of Messina, where he studied with Paola Erdas, andalso earned a diploma in Piano under the guidance of Gaetano Indaco. In 2018, throughthe Erasmus Programme, he furthered his studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brusselswith renowned harpsichordist Frédérick Haas. In 2025, he completed a Master’s degreein Maestro al Cembalo at the Civica Scuola di Musica “Claudio Abbado” in Milan, studyingwith Lorenzo Ghielmi and Antonio Frigè.In 2021, he was awarded First Prize Absolute Winner at the International HarpsichordCompetition “Wanda Landowska” in Puglia. As a soloist, chamber musician, andcontinuo player, he has performed for leading concert societies and festivals includingthe Società del Quartetto di Milano, Festival Pontino, the Brussels Parliament ConcertSeries, Wunderkammer Trieste, the Festival Automne Musical de Spa (Belgium),Collegium Musicum Catania, and the Orchestra Barocca Siciliana.He also holds a degree in Philosophy and Human Sciences from the University ofMessina. Since 2020, he has been teaching music at secondary-school.
